Former Miss Black USA and Attorney Madison Gibbs Returns As Co-Host

Madison Gibbs, Esq. is proof that girls can have it all. The former Miss Black USA 2015, Goodwill Ambassador to Sierra Leone and Youth Mentor earned a B.A. in Speech Communications from North Carolina A&T University and a Juris Doctor degree from the Howard University School of Law. She enjoys world travel and has a big heart for empowering young girls. Madison is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., a Delta G.E.M.S. mentor and a big sister with Big Brother/Big Sister of the Central Piedmont area.

Daphne Lee Artistic Legacy Scholarship Announced

#BlackExcellenceand #Scholarship is a thing at Miss Black USA. Awarding over $500,000 in scholarships to date, we are pleased to announce the DAPHNE LEE ARTISTIC LEGACY AWARD. The $2500 scholarship will be awarded to a contestant in this year's Miss Black USA Pageant.
Daphne Lee, the reigning Miss Black USA is a graduate student, advocate, Goodwill Ambassador to Sierra Leone and a member of the renowned Dance Theater of Harlem. The Miss Black USA Organization is proud to celebrate Daphne's legacy with a scholarship in her name.

Beginning Fall 2019, the scholarship will be open to any female of color who is a full-time artist or student pursuing a degree in the performing arts in the U.S. Applications will be available online beginning Jan 1, 2019, and will close April 30, 2019.
